- Over twenty years of experience in welding engineering, education, and inspection
- AWS Certified Welding Educator
- AWS Senior Certified Welding Inspector
- John has attained the following AWS Code Endorsements (per AWS QC1)
- API 1104 – Welding of Pipelines and Related Facilities
- AWS D1.1 – Structural Welding Code – Steel
- AWS D1.2 – Structural Welding Code – Aluminum
- AWS D1.5 – Bridge Welding Code
- AWS D15.1 – Railroad Welding Specification for Cars and Locomotives
- ASME Section IX, B31.1 & B31.3
- ASME Section VII & IX
- Proficiency in interpreting client documents and specifications while verifying compliance
- OSHA Safety Trainer
- Experience in Non-destructive Testing Methods, including PT, UT, MT, and RT interpretation
